In 2006 David and Mary Schwietzer wrote and performed a CD of songs about famous artists and asked me to help illustrate it. It is on sale at the Tate and it’s excellent (although not totally too sure about the illustrations though), in fact you could probably scrape a good pass at GCSE History of Art with it.
You can buy it here and/or listen to some of the songs here.
Although I suspect that it’s now out of print.
Would be nice to have been able to get some discounted copies for myself but the people at the Tate don’t seem to acknowledge my efforts now!
Here are a few of them (lyrics all copyright Agnes & Aubrey (David and Mary Schwietzer))
The full run down in the CD is
i) Henri Rousseau
ii) Frida Kahlo
iii) Turner
iv) The Kiss
v) Jackson
vi) Ophelia
vii) Wassily Kandinsky
iix) The Cubist Revloution
ix) William Blake
x) St Ives
