A series of adverts using the illustrator’s style and bringing it to life. I can’t remember the illustrator’s name but she was absolutely ace. If anyone knows please drop me a line as I would love to credit her.
We animated the woman’s line in drawn animation (I think that Sydney Padua animated the first two and may have even done the last one, I can’t remember) and then took each of the elements (for instance the skin, the hair, the clothes etc…) and used those as masks for the fabric and textures underneath. The face was similarly constructed in 3D and composited on. I really rather like the finished result.
The sound is quite distorted after years of re-rendering especially on the High Dive one!
