A short film I made in my first (and only) year at the National Film and Television School (NFTS) in Beaconsfield.

I was rather fed up with things generally that year partly because, having made a short narrative film that did quite well before, I then found myself wanting to really explore things but at the NFTS I suddenly found myself in what I felt was a rather constricting place and I rather lost my confidence.

Anyhow, I wanted to explore the random and unplanned which is quite hard to justify but I really enjoyed the end result of stitching together unconnected movements, like phrases in an abstract poem, and being satisfied with the result.

David Schweitzer, who is mostly a musician, did the sound which was then put together and polished by Lydia Andrew. Ralph Foster edited it all. Ralph is now a goliath in the world of editing (as is David in Music and I’m sure Lydia in Sound).
